Today was Tyler's last day of kindergarten.
As we went through his school work and reminisced, we had some laughs as we flipped through these:
This is what a school year's worth of index cards looks like!
It turns out I've been creating an "index card a day" without even thinking about it. Whenever I packed Tyler's lunch, I included an index card with a note, an interesting fact, or most often... a joke!

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, this is so awesome! Don't ever get rid of that stack of cards...what a treasure! And what a gem of a mommy you are!
ReplyDeleteThis is AWESOME! What a sweet and thoughtful mom you are!!
ReplyDeleteYour son must have loved that, he'll remember that forever!
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific mother you are! And the amazing thing is that Tyler kept every one of them, a truly special boy. Love the cards and the awful jokes. All I can think of on the spur of the moment is: Two peanuts were walking down the road and one was a salted. (has to be spoken out loud .)
ReplyDeleteLOL! You really know how to make luch time fun! The index cards are something else, the drawings and jokes are wonderful. Tyler is a lucky kid to have such a great mom. Hugs
ReplyDeleteYou are just the sweetest, cleverest mom ever! I love this idea. What a special creation you've created Kristin!
ReplyDeleteThis is great! Put them away in a special place and one day you will have such memories! Thanks for visiting my blog and your always positive comments! Hopefully my hand will start working like it should be soon. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely surprise for him each day. And something to remember. I put random notes in my children's lunch boxes but not every day. Very inspiring.
ReplyDeleteWhat did the green grape say to the purple grape???
ReplyDeleteBreathe Breathe!!!!
endless store of em if you ever run out and I applaud you as super mum... I used to slip in notes for Phantom as well, though just to keep her on her toes I would slip in ones with things like... you smell or nice snoring big nose.... all written with love of course.... but fun all the same!!!
