Crazy Haired Ladies!
My first crazy haired ladies were inspired by Kristin at Twinkle Twinkle's Summer of Color Challenge last year. (I created them on index cards for Daisy Yellow's ICAD Challenge.)
And, the very first painting I created in 2013 was...
(You guessed it!) A crazy haired lady!
I just can't seem to get enough of them...
I really love seeing your crazy haired ladies! The new ones are amazing!
ReplyDeleteyou amaze me, you really do -- you whip these ladies out acting like it's no bigger deal than buttering a piece of toast ;) what extraordinary talent you have. I think this might be my favorite series of yours to date. I've always wanted big crazy hair, which means I'm the one who got the straight as a stick stuff!
ReplyDeleteLOVE that drippy "tree girl" on the bottom - believe it or not, brown is my favorite color. Most people aren't brave enough to admit that one out loud. . .
ReplyDeletehow exciting to be into a series: hair! hair! your imagination is just awesome: ice cream cones and gardens and strawberries, tie die and butterflies and that last haunting look.
ReplyDeletehave fun. it's obvious that's what you're doing :^)
love

ReplyDeleteWell what can I say....only their hairdresser knows.....are they cooooooooooooool or WHAT!!!! I love em all but the last chica with hair like branches,,,well, that is def. my next coiffure for sure!!!
ReplyDeleteYour ladies are crazy and beautiful. I love that hair and the fact that it's all different. You "do" fabulous art!!!
ReplyDeleteI was just at Ilona's blog remarking how the hair can bring out so much personality in a portrait -- and here are perfect examples! Each 'do tells a different story, and the faces are all amazing. Great work! Keep being crazy about them.
ReplyDeleteFun paintings!! I've had crazy hair all my life, I can relate to these ladies. lol
ReplyDeleteOh how fun. You should start a linky for others to post crazy haired ladies. It would be fun. In fact my hair is crazy and I mean crazy. Tee hee. Happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteKristin, these are GREAT! i love the last one the most:)))) such a good post!
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing! I love drawing/painting crazy hair too! Gloria is right: you should start a linky, would be interesting to see what everbody came up with ;-)

I tell you what - I wish my hair was like your crazy ladies :D Beautiful and I'm another for a crazy hair linky :D
ReplyDeleteI love every one of your crazy haired ladies, they are so inventive. I keep trying to pick a favourite and I can't.
ReplyDeleteThe last one may be just a starting point but she is lovely, and how strange that she has a tear running down her face.
I adore your crazy haired ladies - wouldn't life be more fun if we all had crazy hair like that instead of the kind we do have. Put the crazy hair together with life being like a musical where we all just burst into spontaneous song and dance (which passers-by all know the words and steps to) and life would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteWow! I am now crazy about your ladies with such fascinating eyes and exciting hair! Loved having a look at your posts and the fun you had with Tyler looks great!
ReplyDeleteabsolutely LOVE that last one with the drippy blown out ink look.
ReplyDeleteOh, these are all so very cool! That cat tails just cracked me up! So fun. Their faces are wonderful, too!
ReplyDeleteSo nice to be here and visit!
Hey! Your comments are enlarged!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE these gals! I think it is such a cool idea to make them with all the different hair, so creative!
