(Layer #3 of #3)
I would like to start this post by thanking you for all of the kindness, support, and encouragement you've been giving me about my latest series of paintings! I have received multiple questions/comments/emails about my process, and I plan on writing a post about it (I've taken lots of progress pics), but until I do I wanted to give you a little glimpse of my latest painting in progress...
(Finally starting to draw in the face after 7 background layers.)
Be sure to check back to see the finished painting!

7 backgorund layers!!! Wow - backgrounds are the thing I tend to skimp on - you are inspiring me to do more!
ReplyDeleteLove the layering and her eyes. I look forward to your post on your process, would especially luv to know the 7 steps in your layering.

Loving what I see so far - can't wait to see where it goes from here.
ReplyDeleteLooks great, can't wait to see her finished.
ReplyDeleteI'll look forward to reading about your prices for these pieces as they really are wonderful. This one looks amazing-can't wait to see it finished.
ReplyDeletecoming along so nicely Kristin!
ReplyDeleteI feel such a lazy artist when I read of all these wonderful layers you and other artists create. No wonder your completed pieces are so stunning, and have such depth. I really must try this, must, must, must ….
ReplyDeleteYour lady looks so happy and beautiful, a real woman. I can't wait to see the finished piece to see how you integrate the face and the dots.
Wow 7 layers of background, amazing. I can never get backgrounds right so it will be interesting to see how you do it. Looking forward to seeing this finished.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, very interesting. I like the teasing look on her face, as if she wants to say: well, sorry, but you'll have to wait for the explanation of the process ..... Well, I'm waiting ... ;-)
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely so far! Looking forward to seeing the end result :)
