If you're a regular, Welcome Back!
I'm always so happy to have you here!!
In my last post I promised an "amazingly awesome announcement", so without further ado here it is...
I am going to be teaching on Life Book 2016 next year!!!
I am over-the-moon excited, honored, and privileged to be invited to teach with 23 incredibly talented teachers on this amazing year long art course! I have personally signed up for this wildly popular course since it first began in 2012, so I know first hand how great being a student of Life Book is! And, which is why I feel so fortunate that I am able to celebrate my birthday tomorrow by giving away a space in Life Book 2016 to one of you!!! Keep reading if you want to find out more about Life Book 2016 and if you want to find out how you can win a spot!
First let me tell you a bit more about Life Book in case you haven't heard about it yet... “Life Book, a celebration and honouring of YOU” is a year-long mixed media art class organized by Tamara Laporte from Willowing Arts. Tam is joined by 23 incredible art teachers who are all gearing up to share their mixed media techniques, tips and tricks with YOU! Themed around self-development and healing, you’ll be creating several loose mixed media art journal pages per month which by the end of the year you will bind into a glorious journal (a Life Book)! You will have a wonderful keepsake that you can treasure for the rest of your life!
You can find out a lot more about this wildly popular course (it has been joined by over 8700 people in the past!) by clicking HERE.
I'm currently planning my lessons, and while they aren't finished yet, I can tell you that I am happily going to be sharing some of my most favorite tips & tricks, and lots of information about how I create faces!
Registration opens on October 5th 2015 and the class begins on January 1st 2016.
Keep this page bookmarked so that you can sign up the moment it goes on sale!

I cannot wait to learn from such great artists and from everyone unique style and perspective. I am.looking for your newsletter to sign up and I have shared your Facebook post. Thank unso.much for this opportunity. I have heard wonderful things about LifeBook! (Ampersand Crafts on fb) :)
ReplyDeleteSee, this is what I love about LIFEBOOK….. you get to meet and discover really amazing artist/instructors/teachers/inspirations!!!! I'm looking forward to seeing your lesson. I'm not artistic by nature, and have never been able to draw. Learning to draw faces is has been my #1 goal since starting my ARTastic journey a few years ago when I became permantly disabled. Lifebook was the very 1st online class I ever took back in 2013 and have never missed a year since. I've always joined in on these blog hops in hopes to win a spot one year. I'm hoping this is my year. I'd love to win a spot. Thanks for giving us the chance to win one. ((((HUGS))))
ReplyDeleteSo hugely excited for you and have shared it and shouted from the rooftop just how awesome you are... If anyone could tempt me back to life book it is you!
ReplyDeleteSigned up for your newsletter and shared the post on FB. I want to join Life Book again next year, because it's FUN! After having a rough year (that included major surgery for myself and a family member) I need some more fun and joyfulness (which LB brings in abundance).
ReplyDeleteHi Kirstin,
ReplyDeleteSO glad to see you're in Life Book and you totally deserve it. I've loved your artwork, when we were in Tracey's class together I so looked forward to seeing your newest art puns. Gorgeous work, I'd love to learn from you and all the others. A year of lessons could only help keep me on the artistic path I'm endeavoring to create. Congrats and I cross my fingers I get lucky and get a spot!
Hi, Thank you for the chance to win a place on LB2016! Looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteHi, thank you for the chance to win a place on Lifebook 2016. I have participated in Lifebook this year though I have been a very quiet member. Winning a seat for next year would mean the world to me - and would enable me to continue with the lessons I look forward to(like a kid at Christmas!) every Monday. Thanks for this chance to win a seat!
I hope to win because I love all the artwork that everyone has made and I like to try it to, but not get the possibilety to buy lifebook yet, I'm doing Mixed Media not that long and I'm in a trying out period what the paints and mediums do and what I like to do,.. to go further and learn more how to do it
ReplyDeleteI don't know what to write because I am sure we are all equally deserving and excited about doing Life Book 2016 but if I have to say something I would say that I find the kindness of the course just as wonderful as the art. ReplyDeleteHi! A friend introduced me to this lifebook last year & it changed the way I do art and it allowed me more freedom in my art. I am still learning but I enjoy sharing my art more now that I am learning to let go of perfectionism. I am becoming brave enough to even share my art with others now. I would love to be able to continue my healing journey through art & develop even more confidence. Art therapy rules!

ReplyDeleteI am keeping my fingers and toes crossed, hoping to win the spot! Love your Blog!
ReplyDeleteAmy Nutzell - amnutz@bellsouth.net - this is my second year taking Lifebook. I have learned so much and grown as an artist. I have been exposured to artists and techniques and modalities I did not know existed. I have made friends and been encouraged by others within the LB community. It's great to be able to download and keep the lessons then when you are months later working on a piece and struggling with something you can go back and just have a LB marathon and something seems to "click" and you go back to your problems and you know how to work through it! Very important when you have chemo, Lupus and stroke brain! The cost of LB is affordable and you get fabulous value however we are going thru a big tsuamni of life and winning a scholarship would be a blessing. I'm sure others are facing hardships too. We all talk about how hard cancer and incurable illnesses are emotionally but people never address how devastating they are financially. Hubby has stage 4 cancer- currently cancer free- and I have a laundry list of issues that forced me to " medically retire". Disabled sounds so useless. Besides I have my art! Anyway- I'd like to win - good luck to everyone- I will go without groceries to pay for my LB. it's that good and important to me.
ReplyDeleteI've participated in Lifebook since 2013 and really look forward to all the new teachers Tam has lined up this time around! I wasn't familiar with your work until the new teacher lineup came out, and can't wait to see what you have in store for us!

ReplyDeleteThank you for the wonderful opportunity! I've been feeling lost for the past year or so, and I've really been trying to reconnect with myself and my art. ReplyDeleteI would love to win a spot on Lifebook. I started art two years ago and I am hooked and would love to learn more.
ReplyDeleteWinning a spot on Lifebook would give me the opportunity to grow as an artist, give me the confidence to say, "I am an artist". Looking at the list of teachers, I admire many of them and their work. Being able to have the opportunity to see how they create and learn their techniques will stretch and further the limited skills I have now. I am sure their lesson will push me out of my comfort zone, make me frustrated but then glad I tried!
ReplyDeleteI complete all 3: emailed for your newsletter, shared your Facebook announcement and left a comment.
