This summer I took part in the Liberate Your Art Postcard Swap. Opening my mailbox was like Christmas, and this is why...
Wendy
There wasn't a last name, blog address, or website on this postcard... Wendy, If you read this - Thank You - Your beautiful flowers brightened my day (and purple is my favorite color!)
Karen at Giddy-up Let's Ride
Thank You Karen - I am absolutely amazed at the wonderful details in your colorful zentangle!
Carolyn at Digital Experiments by Carolyn
Thank You Carolyn - I am so fascinated by digital art and I am impressed by all of the layers and depth that you've incorporated into your art (I love the dragonflies)!
Niki at The Vintage Artist
Thank You Niki - Your lovely postcard with it's inspirational message arrived at just the right time (and I am a big, BIG fan of hearts in art!)
Maria ("Rinda") at Gallo Organico
Thank You Rinda - I was so happy to discover your vibrant "Wings" collage in my mailbox! I agree that "art is an adventure that never ends" - this swap is proof of that.
Kat (Our Hostess with the Mostess!)
Thank You Kat - Your beautiful photos always bring a smile to my face! I had so much fun participating in your swap and I appreciate all the hard work you have put into it!
Since I believe that there is nothing quite like "snail mail"...
Here is the postcard I sent for the swap!
I was so inspired by The Liberate Your Art Postcard Swap that I am currently working on a "snail mail" series of postcards for my etsy shop... Stay tuned!

ReplyDeleteHello Kristin
ReplyDeletefrom a fellow participant in Liberate Your Art. I'm just bloghopping from Kent England. Nice to meet you and your art. We also have just toured together with Arthouse Coop's Sketchbook Project. I made a book for Fiction Project that toured with it. My postcards for LYA are from my book.
And so we are side by side in Brooklyn Art Library right now!
I'm taking part in next year's Sketchbook Project which also tours to London so I can get to that in person! Are you taking part I wonder?
Ann
