(prismacolor pencils)
You may recognize this girl from yesterday's drawing.
I created her by using one of my favorite techniques...
One drawing, endless possibilities...
When I make a drawing (like the one yesterday), I scan it into the computer. Then, if I want to play with it some more, I lighten it up (in a photo editing program), and print it out on 110lb. white cardstock.

(gouache resist)
Then, I can play, play, play!
Gorgeous work with the pencils!! Thanks for the great tip!
ReplyDeleteI must say, this is very nice work! Great job.
ReplyDeleteFirst - that face is BEAUTIFUL! It is such a great idea to scan it in to the computer. So many chances to play around with her. I love that idea! The resist looks so cool too!!
ReplyDeleteThe gouache resist is so effective. It looks like a print. I really like this.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! The coloured pencils give her such a soft feel. Beautifully drawn face.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for trying different techniques on the same subject. I'll have to give this a try.
ReplyDeleteSo many good ways to use Photoshop! I love this.
ReplyDeleteI think i will try that, i have photoshop and hardly ever use it! I need to learn what all it can do!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Interesting to see how different the same drawing can look with different materials. Love the prismacolor one!
ReplyDeleteThis one's so good Kristin!
ReplyDeleteHi Kristin! Thank you for visiting my blog and following me!!! I finished my drawing and posted her last night.
ReplyDeleteI like your faces, especially the black and white. I am really a fan of graphic work, and this one looks like a linol cut!
Ilona :-)
I love gouache don't you... mind you I hate having to spell it... I always have to check the tube to see if the u or the a comes first... poor spelling aside... I love this graphic version... very very cool...xx
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your brilliant ideas regarding the copies. I will have to try this. Your artwork is beautiful and have enjoyed your faces very much. I will be following your creative journey more closely.
ReplyDeleteyour way with faces just blows me away. so, so, SO talented you are!
ReplyDeleteVery creative...this looks Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI sometimes take photocopies of my work (B/W outlines) in different sizes...small, medium and big! Then trace it out onto the canvas...its tedious though!
