"Hogs and Kisses" is the final result for this week's color challenge - "raspberry red".
Another play on words, this mixed media painting was created using only red, black, and white. Paired with last week's painting ("Ewe Are My Sunshine"), I'm starting to see a pattern develop... I guess this challenge is bringing out a love of livestock I never knew I had!
How did I miss your entry from last week? I must scroll down and tell you how much I like it in just a moment, but while I'm here I have to extole on how fantastic I think this piece is ::grin::
ReplyDeleteGreat use of the colour, of course, but on top of that I adore your illustration style. Quirky and charming, along with the play on words. Lovely stuff.
I particularly like the texture and depth you've given the work, forcing the viewer to look more than once, something that is always good for the eye.
Thanks so much for sharing. I'm looking forward to seeing your answer to the next challenge.
Nutty
(holding her breath awaiting the announcement of the next colour :D)

ReplyDeletelove you entry for the challenge this week too - it would make a super cute valentine card!
Ahhhh, I saw this on Flickr. It is just adorable! I have a thing with pigs.....me and my sister and it's been going on for years. We give each other pig stuff. Long story....but seeing this work of art put a smile on my face.
ReplyDeleteHi Kristin, I love your take on the pigs bright red lips and all. Thanks for joining us at Soartful Challenges.
