This is so very true. I have an 8th greder and a 4th grader this year. My 13 year old stands eye to eye with me!!!! Hope he has a wonderful day! You too Mom!
Well said Kristin! This is one of the first years that the school bus won't be stopping at my house. And it seems like yesterday my daughter was entering kindergarten and eeek....its been years in double digits!!! :-)
Aw, what a cutie!!!!It's definitely an overwhelming sense of happiness and pride mixed with sadness that they are growing up -BEST OF LUCK - hope he has a great day! ( and you do too!)
kristin, he is a doll. what a wonderful kind smile.
i'll wager you will never forget this first day of school. tyler will have others to guide him as well as his mother and his family. that takes some getting used to.
OMG he's totally adorable, I cried for a week when I left my babes for 1st day of school, even now I get a little funny 1st day back each year, I never let them take the school bus first day, even now, my benefit not theirs, their mad mum dropping, hugs & waving - and they are in high school!!!
Yes, it does. I know as my kids are 38 and 36! Even my grandkids aren't so little anymore with the youngest being 10 1/2! I thank God all the time that I have the grandkids to enjoy as I didn't take time to enjoy my own enough. I was too busy making sure they'd be responsible adults when they grew up and didn't play with them enough.
I remember my son's first day of school and how I felt and golly, that was 40 years ago. I guess there are some memories that stay with you a life time. Time really does fly by so make the most of it.
Ahhh, I hope he has a wonderful year!! Last year on my daughter's first day of Kinder, I bravely held onto my tears until I got into my car to leave and then cried my eyes out. It is hard...and time does go by soooo fast!
awe! My son started kindergarten this week too and I was so nervous! They grow up SOOOOOO FAST! too fast! I am not ready for it! :D
