30 in 30 for 30

Crazy?  Quite possibly.
A Challenge?  Most definitely.
Fun?  I sure hope so.

So what is it?

Simply put, 30 in 30 for 30 is:
30 paintings in 30 days for 30 dollars.

The longer story:

When I heard about the Art Every Day Month challenge hosted by Leah Piken Kolidas, I was intrigued.  I love the idea of creating a piece of art every day and I started thinking maybe this might be a good opportunity to finally open my etsy shop.

While mulling the idea over in the car this week I passed this sign:

Okay Universe, message received - decision made.

So, to kick start the opening of my etsy shop on November 1st I will be:

- Creating an original painting every day for the entire month.  It might be on canvas, it might be on wood... It might be 8 x 10, it might be larger... It might be mixed media, it might be an acrylic painting.
(Since I want to keep this fun, I am going to do what I love - play!)

- Posting each new creation on my blog and listing them daily in my etsy shop

- Only charging $30... yes, an original painting each day for only $30!  It doesn't matter how large or how detailed, for the entire month of November every original creation will be $30.

There you have it:
30 original paintings
30 days
30 dollars

If you would like to help spread the word, I've created a nifty little button you can put on your blog:

Thank You!

P.S.  I welcome suggestions... Feel free to leave me a comment or send me an email with something you'd like to see me paint!  (This could be fun)

I love this idea of 30 in 30 for 30. I recently had a brainstorm for something similar. Maybe I'll have to jump on that November challenge, too! Thanks for sharing!

  21. What a great idea! I look forward to seeing what you make. Painting is not my specialty, but it is the thing I think about all the time. I just keep telling myself, I'm too busy, I can't take time to paint for 3 or 4 hours. Well, maybe 1 hour? I think I'll try it. You've inspired me.

I just checked your Etsy shop and you're not open yet... save some time for that it seems to take forever to list an item for me! Get your tags right! ;)
