This week, in addition to trying to get ready for 30 in 30 for 30, I am working on T-man's Halloween costume.
To say that T is obsessed with board games, card games... actually games of any sort, is a bit of an understatement. (His favorite shows are not cartoons - he likes Wheel of Fortune, Deal or No Deal, Minute to Win It... I'm sure you get the picture.)
So, when he said he wanted to be the King of Hearts for Halloween it didn't come as a big surprise. Since card costumes for four year olds aren't exactly easy to come by, I'm making it myself. (Wish me luck... I'll post pictures!)
Be sure to pop over to Sophia's blog to see what some of my talented friends have up their sleeves (in their sketchbooks) this week!
How fitting that he should be the King of ♥ ...
ReplyDeleteKristin that is the best sketch, it looks like a printed card, so perfect. Must have taken a long time to get it so perfect.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Kristin, this sketch is AWESOME - it does look just like a photo. Every perfect detail...and it jumps right off the page... wonderful. can't wait to see what you do with the costume. have fun creating it! xxoo
ReplyDeleteWonderful sketch and I'm looking forward to the pictures of the progress!
ReplyDeleteI am always amazed at some of the things kids choose. One year my daughter wanted to be a bluebird (????) I can only imagine how many hours I spent gluing blue feathers to blue bristol board for wings and a tail. Another year a jack-in-the-box so I painted a box for her. And then one year we were invited to a "wenches and musketeers" themed party. I discovered the wonders of glue guns and my husband actually looked the part in the end!
Looking so forward to seeing your son dressed up!
Holy moly, that is GOOD! Amazing detail.
