The Post In Which I Tell You More Than You Ever Wanted To Know...

About Me!

Amy over at butterscape recently set out on a quest to interview all of the readers of her blog.  Well, since I'm a reader of her blog and I think it's a nifty idea, here is my interview:

1. what is your name and stuff?  and any other good information.  like bank account details.

My name is Kristin, but everyone in my family calls me Honey.  (If you want to know why, you can read about it here.)

I live in Buffalo, New York with my husband (Bob), son (Tyler), and 2 cats (Mona and Lisa).

(I think I'll leave off my bank account information... Unless of course, you are part of a "Nigerian family of wealth" who is looking for an "overseas partner" to "transfer a large sum of money" to.  Then please feel free to send me an email!  Ha!)

2. what is super hot about you?  <--- don't you Dare skip this one.  answer it.

My moustache.
(Just look at the pic at the top of this post if you don't believe me!)

3. don't lie or cheat: what is under your couch right now?

A playing card and a sock.

4. when was the last time you shaved your legs?

5. what did you have for breakfast?

A handful of cashews, a cherry cake doughnut, and water.
(Healthy, right?!?)

6.  if you could choose a new name, what would you name yourself?

My mom wanted to name me Sunshine - I always thought that would have been cool.

7. have you ever had plastic surgery?

No.  But... I have had a plastic surgeon put stitches in my face twice.  The first time was when I accidentally got hit in the fivehead (my head is much too large to be a forehead) with a golf club while playing mini golf with friends my senior year in high school.  The second time was after a freak rollerblading accident shortly before my wedding.  (In addition to messing up my chin, I knocked my front teeth out!)
I am very, very accident prone.

8. are you afraid of the dark?

No.  Not really.  Well... maybe sometimes.

9. are you a hermit?

I am a seasonal hermit.  Winters aren't fun where I live (at least I don't think so), so I tend to stay inside... a lot.
Hmmm... Maybe that's just hibernation...

10. why do you blog?

The connections.  I have discovered an amazing community of creative folks who continually inspire me (and I have made some wonderful friends as a result).

The end.

Okay, your turn - grab the questions from Amy's post and have some fun... I'd love to read your answers too!

  1. Hi - I don't know if I ever sent you the picture of my son 'watching' your balloons (the Celebrate free papers...)... thought I would share.
Oh, I am the one who said I had to print those out for him to carry around with him (he LOVES balloons!). Since they don't last long enough in three year old hands, I let him look at them on line!

  2. oh this is fabulous!!!!!! you are so fun! I loved reading about you . great idea, too! I like the name, Sunshine!

  3. Nice to learn more about you in a fun way!

  4. OK, Sunshine!that would be a fun name! thanks for sharing, and I love the owl below and I love the idea of painting on papers, I have trouble adding stuff I know will just get covered instead of just starting on the canvas...

  5. I think you got off lucky answering question TODAY! ;)

  6. Hey, Sunshine...I am a bit of a lurker here at your blog, but I enjoy it very much and I really enjoyed your interview. I may do something like this at my blog...sometime.

  7. This was so fun Kristin! I just hopped over to Amy's blog and I will be joining you in this fun interview! Thanks for sharing! :)

  8. I taught a girl called Sunshine and she was the absolute embodiment of her name, so to me it can only be a good thing to be called Sunshine! I particularly like the idea of Sunshine with a moustache... it might replace all the smiley faces kids draw on their suns!!! Go the mo Sunshine!

  9. Hello moustache Honey! :) I can be your over seas business partner, so feel free to send me money. :)

  10. Good answers to some tough questions. I've always loved the name Sunshine and have a son and grandson with that name. It gets confussing.

  11. these answers tell me you have confidence in yourself, even when you question that! as for being a klutz, my exhusband did a fantastic job of convincing me i was clumsy in all circumstances, and i was.

but without his reminders (he's long gone) i stopped reminding myself and i don't see myself that way any more. to me, kristin, you have amazing grace. i mean it.

  12. oh. how embarrassing. you've completely called me out on my norwegian scam.

  13. You had me laughing! Glad to know you better! I have to say your owl is quite amazing!! I finally posted part 1 video up on the blog. It was one of those kind of weeks last week & now one of these! lol xo Theresa

  14. Thank you for your kind words...but we do look good for a couple of old farts...happy farts! Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

  15. oh, fun answers!!! hehe, I love the owl with glasses below, and your crock! Made me giggle!

  16. fivehead. I'm dying over here. Almost spit my coffee on the laptop. My great grandmother called me sunshine. your moustache is super hot. great interview!
